IDF rabbis name on leaders in the wider community to rally at the back of Rabbi Eyal Karim, whose induction as Chief IDF Rabbi takes place these days.

The discussion board of army rabbis within the reserves blessed this morning incoming IDF Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Eyal Karim, whose induction ceremony is set to take region later today at Tel Aviv's central "Kirya" military base.
"we wish him blessings and success," the rabbis observed. "We hope that [Rabbi Karim] will lead the defense force rabbinate to new heights, with energy and modesty, within the spirit of King David, [who was both gentle and tough]."
The discussion board called on rabbis within the wider public to rally around Rabbi Karim: "Rabbi Karim's acceptance of the position offers an opportunity for the entire yeshiva heads to rally across the Chief Rabbi of the IDF, and to look in him the one trustworthy authority for coping with concerns of non secular observance within the army, and to as a result fortify the militia rabbinate and Jewish matters within the military - preventing the bypassing of the defense force rabbinate and its ensuing weakened repute."
"we are filled with prayer that God will send benefits of success to Rabbi Eyal Karim, a worthwhile and fitting alternative, a Torah student of stalwart persona and shining countenance, for the army and for the State of Israel.
"The purpose of the IDF become, and continues to be, victory in battle and protection of the State of Israel - the Jewish State. The defense force rabbinate will proceed to faithfully act against this aim, whereas keeping the Jewish and nationalist persona of the military," the rabbis concluded.
