SEA's torpedo launcher device (TLS) and weapons dealing with gadget have achieved manufacturing facility acceptance for a class of fight ships being built for a naval drive in South East Asia, the enterprise introduced on 21 March.
The TLS achieved acceptance at SEA's manufacturing unit in Devon in the UK. The company then worked with Kuala Lumpur-based venture engineering managers Budi Axis to obtain acceptance of the primary weapons managing system in country.
Six units of managing methods should be manufactured in Malaysia jointly by SEA and Budi Axis, while construction of the equipment electronics will also be steadily manufactured in Malaysia over the six ship units.
The torpedo launchers - suitable with all lightweight NATO ordinary-sized torpedoes - will include a pair of triple configuration, composite tubes mounted simply aft of midships on the 111m ships. The electronics suite offers calculation of a fire handle solution predicting target place from the sonar and ship's data.
The weapons coping with system within the ship's journal facilitates the storage of lightweight torpedoes, depth costs and air launched missiles in shock installed racking and transports them by means of trolleys to on-deck launchers or the helicopter hangar.
