The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) has launched its fourth littoral mission vessel (LMV), Justice, on the Singapore technologies Marine's Benoi shipyard, the Ministry of Defence announced on 18 March.
The LMVs are faster, versatile and geared up with sharper capabilities to support the RSN's effectiveness in seaward defence.
The LMVs may also be configured with mission modules to take on a wide spectrum of operations, enabling the crew to bring calibrated responses the use of lethal and non-lethal options to cope with various maritime threats.
Justice is the fourth of eight LMVs that might be constructed for the navy, beneath an agreement between the Defence Ministry and Singapore technologies Marine.
The LMV Justice is anticipated to be thoroughly operational by using 2018 and all eight LMVs by means of 2020. presently, the first three LMVs, Independence, Sovereignty and harmony are present process sea trials.
